UN SDG PITCH AND GRILL
This pitch and grill was like no other, from its title “pitch and grill” to our partners who showed up as well as the caliber of social innovators who readily came on board to share their innovative solutions, the event took the spotlight. In our bid to create the perfect ambience of entrepreneurial support to our local community of social entrepreneurs, the creative in our space decided to design a bridge that connects investors to start-up entrepreneurs in order to have closer interaction between social innovators and potential investors. In March 2018, Civic Innovation Lab gave her innovators opportunity to pitch their business ideas in the hopes of getting these investors to invest in their business. We had an overwhelming presence from our development partners and investors. We put our social innovators under limelight by ensuring that they are at the right place at the right time.
GIZ Policy Hackathon
GIZ Policy Hackathon Nigeria's Policy Hackathon organized by i4Policy, Civic Innovation Lab and Impact Hub Lagos, with support from “Make-IT in Africa”, a project of the German Development Cooperation held in March at the Civic Innovation Lab. This program was designed to project what would happen if we could have entrepreneurs, students, and business support providers step into the shoes of policy makers for one day. The unique policy workshop format developed by i4policy required participants to become “policy shapers” for a day, with a mandate to create legislation that can break through barriers to innovative entrepreneurship.
Hack4Agriculture
Synergos Nigeria in collaboration with the Civic Innovation Lab organized a hackathon that was th th held on the 7 - 11 May, 2018 in Abuja to bring together top innovative minds to design a solution which could take the form of a tool, app, web portal or system to provide accurate information around agricultural system for each State. Through these hackathons, we show our support for our community of developers who are always enthusiastic to show case their talents and skills.
